TVGuide article on Rachels audition for Funny Girl
To say the Glee cast has a lot going on would be an understatement. On top of returning to work this week to start production on the fourth season of the Fox musical dramedy, the young cast of the series is also juggling movies, books and recording their own albums.
The Hollywood Reporter caught up with stars Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Chord Overstreet and Matthew Morrison as well as exec producer Ian Brennan to get the dish on what’s ahead on Glee — and beyond.
What about Kurt [Chris Colfer]? How are they going to keep in touch?
I already have like 20 scenes on the phone with Chris Colfer in the first script. I love working with Chris. He’s the best.
KURT | It looks like Kurt is staying put – for now. Having been rejected by his dream school, he’s still in Lima, unsure of what he wants to do, when the season picks up. But with Rachel in New York, it can’t be too long before he finds his way to the Big Apple, right? “Those two are best friends,” replied Falchuk, tellingly. “It would be hard to keep them apart.”
[…] And Kurt (Chris Colfer)? Expect him to find his way to New York City — but not as a student at NYADA, which will hold firm on its rejection. Instead, “he will find himself in an establishment where Sarah Jessica Parker is his manager of sorts, but not in a performance sense,” Colfer told me at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards.
Michele has heard that Parker’s character may be giving Rachel a makeover, which suggests a New York fashion-world story line for Kurt. Says Colfer: “Lea’s a hot girl, [but] Rachel could lose the baby-doll dresses.”
Chris talking about Sarah Jessica Parker and her role next season.
“Sarah Jessica Parker is coming on the show the next season, and she’s doing kind of exactly what I always wanted and intended for [Kurt]. So I’m really excited about it. I can’t give it away. And I can’t say because it might be misleading to what the finale has in store.”
Yes does this means what I think it means?
